This small shelving unit works right-side-up or upside-down, stackable, like playing with geometric puzzles. Inspired by geometric abstraction, KHD studio used random oxidation texturing to "paint" contemporary abstract art on stainless steel surfaces — smooth to the touch, each piece with different grain and color, like metal growing moods, a sculptural piece with attitude.

KHD is a graphic design studio that specializes in counter-intuitive work, mixing metalworking, color experiments, and graphic design, going against convention. Their work has won Tokyo TDC Non-Member Award.
